Trump Talk, May 5, 2020: The President Travels to Arizona

As shown in a video released by the Whitehouse, reporters were able to present a few questions to President Trump this morning as he was preparing to leave for Arizona. President Trump stated that the purpose of his visit was twofold. First, he stated that he loves Arizona and has great success there. He stated that the second purpose of his trip was, “I’m going to pay my respects to Honeywell, one of our great companies that has done a fantastic job for us.”

Trump also commented on the current projections released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) yesterday. He stated that the current projections are without mitigation. “We are doing a lot of mitigation.” “Our country wants to open.” “The people of our country should think of themselves as warriors.” “Our country has to open”

When asked if he was going to wear a mask during his visit, he stated that he didn’t know. He says he will “if it’s a mask environment.”

Trump also made comments about the Lincoln Project and the ad recently released.
