The state of Texas has launched a new website aimed at helping essential workers find child care services. The project, an outgrowth of Texas’ Frontline Child Task Force, includes valuable child care information, such as a map of licensed child care services, hours, space available, health and safety information, and more.

The Task Force includes various state government representatives, including the Texas Workforce Commission, the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, the Texas Education Association, and the Governor’s office.

The website, called Frontline Child Care, includes information for parents, employers, child care providers, and school districts.

“We have a duty to support Texas health care workers and other essential employees as they work on the front lines of the COVID-19 response,” said Governor Greg Abbott.
