New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham announced on Wednesday that the state will be participating in a pilot program designed to better detect and prevent coronavirus outbreaks. Grisham stated that the White House contacted her about the program and that it appears to be a joint effort with the U.S. Health and Human Services Department, the CDC, and coronavirus task force advisor Debbie Birx. New Mexico has been one of the top states in testing per capita thus far.
