A request submitted by Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont seeks 100% federal reimbursement for the state’s Coronavirus response. According to the Associated Press, the state’s current disaster declaration, recently approved by President Trump, only allows for 75% reimbursement.

Federal regulations allow eligibility of 100% reimbursement if warranted. In the letter, dated April 15, 2020, Governor Lamont said the pandemic warranted “just such a circumstance.”

In his request, Lamont also thanked President Trump for providing 100% federal reimbursement for costs associated with activating the Connecticut National Guard during the emergency response by the state.
